July 21, 2014 - IEBC has since clarified that the above data is for the voters registered using the biometric system and does not include the 1,370 non-biometric registered voters. The total number of voters, biometric and non-biometric, was 863,199.

How Kiambu Voted in the 2013 General Election
Governor
William Kabogo Gitau (The National Alliance (TNA)) and his running mate, Gerald Gakuha Githinji (TNA) were elected during the March 4 election.

Kabogo defeated 4 other candidates by a significant margin; receiving 62% of the votes cast. His closest challenger was James Karanja Nyoro (National Rainbow Coalition (NARC)); receiving 30% of the votes cast.

705,185 (90%) voted for Uhuru Kenyatta of the Jubilee coalition; Uhuru in TNA and his running mate William S. Ruto in United Republican Party (URP).

61,700 (8%) voted for Raila Odinga of the CORD coalition; Raila in Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka in Wiper Democratic Movement- Kenya (WDM-K).

The turnout for the presidential election, in Kiambu county, was 91%.

May 21, 2014 - Joseph Ngugi Nyumu (TNA) the MP for Gatundu South died on Wednesday May 21.
August 7, 2014 - Moses Kiarie Kuria (TNA) was declared the MP for Gatundu South by no contest after the only other aspirant Joakim Kiarie Kamere (NDP) withdrew from the by-election.
Sep 22, 2014 - Added the names of the county wards and representatives (also known as members of county assembly (MCA))
Feb 11, 205 - George Mukuru Muchai (TNA), MP for Kabete, died on Sunday February 8, 2014.
May 6, 2015 - Ferdinand Ndungu Waititu (Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP)) was elected the MP for Kabete in the by-election held on May 4, 2015. Waititu received 24,228 votes, 95.3% of the valid votes cast. George Mungai Waiguru (independent) was a distant second with 268 votes.
